One of our ESADE MBA students, James Doherty, has been putting his business school knowledge into practice blogging for the Financial Times for the last two months. He is one of the 27 MBAs from business schools around the globe, chosen by the FT to blog on their experience of studying for an MBA.
The business students all have sharp writing skills, and seem very committed to this project. The FT MBA blog is bursting with activity, with a new story – sometimes even two – getting published practically every day.
Some of the topics these MBA bloggers choose to write about are quite disruptive and include reflections that might make readers question things. Among the posts are topics like the importance of having a strategy in business as well as in real life, why diversity is important to a group’s performance, or why choosing a business school should not only be based on rankings.
They say doing an MBA is a life changing experience. These students, for sure, are doing a great job demonstrating this through their stories.
The FT’s MBA blog is a valuable resource to get inside MBAs’ minds, their daily activities and challenges, their expectations, their concerns, their dreams. Congratulations to all the MBAs that are keeping this initiative alive. Definitely highly recommended reading.
